MIDTOWN— Meehan's Public House Chef Jordan Wakefield will cook four Oktoberfest-inspired dinner dishes at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen October 12. WESTSIDE— Southern Food Tour is coming to Atlanta October 11. Thirty people willing to pay $200 each will walk through the city, stopping in the kitchens of local restaurants to visit with chefs and taste their creations. Participating chefs include Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia, Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene, Ford Fry of JCT Kitchen and Adam Evans of The Optimist. MORNINGSIDE— The Morningside Mile race is coming up. Held October 14 from noon to 2 p.m., the race raises money for the Virginia-Highland fire station (the city's oldest).
