On Communal Seating

New, 2 comments

Here's AJC restaurant critic John Kessler on Seven Lamps. The restaurant's "bar" offers a high, narrow communal table with tall chairs on both sides instead of traditional at-the-bar seating, which leads Kessler to muse, "Atlantans are not people who weave through crowded sidewalks or jostle each other on subways, so we're not quite sure how to act at community tables." Now, we ask: Do you like the movement toward communal seating or do you prefer to dine, either with your party or alone, at your own table? Leave a comment or visit the tipline. [AJC]
