Kimball House opened in Decatur late last month, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has a first look at the restaurant and bar. Says John Kessler, "The restaurant offers one of the liveliest oyster services in the metro area." He goes on to compliment partner Miles Macquarrie's cocktail program, the Square Feet Studio-designed space, and the food from co-chefs Phillip Meeker and Jeffery Wall: "The plates are huge, the better to show off the verdant vegetation, foamy dollops of sauce and poignant little leaves placed just so."
THE ELSEWHERE AND THE BLOGS: The AJC's John Kessler also revisits Decatur's Chai Pani. Creative Loafing has brunch at Couscous, chopped liver at Henry's Midtown Tavern, and falafel at Ameer's and Olive Bistro. Marie, Let's Eat recommends Loribell's Frozen Custard Creations in Kennesaw, and Atlanta Restaurant Blog looks at moonshine and burgers at Stillhouse.
