Buckhead Italian restaurant STG Trattoria shuttered over the weekend. STG opened last April from Bocado restaurateur Brian Lewis; the kitchen was first helmed by Josh Hopkins, previously of Abattoir and currently of Empire State South. Sean Telo took over as executive chef in January, and a tipster wrote in to say that he told his Facebook friends that STG was closing this weekend and that "the ownership has decided to sell." Here's a statement from the restaurant:

With great sadness and a torn heart STG Trattoria announces the closing of its doors after dinner service on Saturday, October 12, 2013. We are very proud to have served our community over the last eighteen months. During this time we partnered with numerous local Georgia farmers buying chickens, eggs, milk and produce to name just a few. We also had the honor of cooking at the James Beard House in NYC this past July. We wish to express our deepest thanks to all of our guests, staff and vendors for their support.
