Below, find a statement from Bell Street Burritos owner Matt Hinton. To catch up: Irwin Street Market, which houses a location of Bell Street Burritos, closed late last month for renovations. The market reopened recently, but Bell Street remains shuttered and papered over. Employees are unsure whether or not it will return; in either case, Bell Street is opening another outpost in Buckhead at 1816 Peachtree Street.
Today, Hinton writes, "Other issues have come up, and we are trying to resolve them as quickly as possible. [...] But please rest assured that we love this neighborhood and our friends here, and we are doing everything we can to stay."
Hi folks, sorry for the lack of news on our Irwin Street Market location. We are extremely grateful for the phone calls, postings, and other support you've been giving us. We miss you, too. The Irwin Street Market initially closed for repairs and maintenance, but other issues have come up, and we are trying to resolve them as quickly as possible. As soon as we are able to say something definite, we'll post it here. But please rest assured that we love this neighborhood and our friends here, and we are doing everything we can to stay.· Bell Street Burritos [Facebook]In the meantime, we remain open at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, less than 5 minutes away, Monday through Saturday from 11-3. And we are working at a furious pace to open the new location at 1816 Peachtree (formerly Huey's) as quickly as possible. Look for our opening announcement here very soon. Thanks again.
