The Waffle House Museum in Avondale Estates – the site of the very first Waffle House – opened its doors this past Saturday to celebrate the season. Holiday memorabilia was on display and visitors received keepsake Christmas ornaments. While the museum's kitchen no longer serves food, a special waffle station churned out Waffle House's eponymous menu item. But perhaps the best gift of all? Word has it the Waffle House that opened this summer inside Turner Field will remain for now. And when the Braves move to Cobb County, Waffle House is most likely going with them, potentially with a traditional full-service and always-open restaurant in the retail development adjacent to the stadium.
