Tragic news comes in from Cabbagetown: The iconic Little's Food Store will shutter at the end of this month. The restaurant posted to Facebook last night:
Little's will be closing at the end of December. Thanks for all the love you guys have shown us since we opened. Please come get yer Little's on while we are still open, we would love to say goodbye to you all.Loyal fans of Little's asked why the closure was happening and received this response:
The building needs a new roof, new bathrooms for the upstairs apartments, new siding, some foundation and drainage work, and other projects. I don't have the funds to make this happen, and I'm pretty sure Leon is in no place to tackle these repairs.
