This January, Jarrett Stieber— of the popular Candler Park Market Eat Me Speak Me pop-up— will be found behind the deli counter at The General Muir every Wednesday through Friday starting at 10:30 a.m. Stieber has worked previously at Empire State South as well as Abattoir, Restaurant Eugene, and Pura Vida. His menu may include such dishes as pastured duck liver pate with coffee gelee, baby fennel and bitter lettuce salad, and bread or winter turnips with pickled bok choi, peanuts, daikon radish, and black sesame puree. The regular deli menu of bagels, matzoh ball soup, sandwiches and sides, and baked goods will also be available.
The General Muir's deli is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant, which also has a full-service component open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, is a a sister spot to West Midtown's West Egg and is helmed by chef Todd Ginsberg.
