DOWNTOWN— Peering over the downtown Connector, a new 10-story parking garage has risen on the former site of the Georgia Department of Transportation headquarters. The builder calls it a "great addition" to our cityscape.

CITYWIDE— It's time to nominate your 'hood for the coveted Curbed Cup, Curbed Atlanta's annual Neighborhood of the Year tournament. We'll be showcasing eight or 16 seeds vying for the sacred fake trophy. Old Fourth Ward is reigning champion.

DOWNTOWN— Big news on the streetcar front: Atlanta was recently named a Federal Transit Administration grant designee, meaning the city will be able to apply directly for federal funding — instead of relying on MARTA to apply on its behalf. More here.
