A Waffle House in downtown Atlanta has started charging all customers a 20% "property management surcharge" in addition to local sales tax to pay for nighttime security. The restaurant has hired an off-duty police officer to be on the premises from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily to cut down on fighting and crime. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and one waitress told Fox Atlanta that the amount of general rowdiness has decreased since the surcharge was implemented last month— but that tips have as well. Watch the video here.
