A Second Raku, Mill Kitchen and Bar, More Coming Soon

1) Downtown: Legacy Restaurant Partners (of STATS, Der Biergarten, and more) has a barbecue joint in the work. The restaurant will be housed on Marietta Street and should open in the second half of the year. It's tentatively called Magical Beast, but the type of barbecue it serves remains to be seen. 2) Roswell: Opening Tuesday, February 12 is new Roswell restaurant the Mill Kitchen and Bar. The restaurant, from chef/owner Marc Taft of Chicken and the Egg, will serve Southern comfort food for dinner seven days a week, lunch Monday through Saturday, and Sunday brunch. 3) Midtown: The now-closed Burger Joe's at 810 Marietta Street will soon be replaced by Raku, a Duluth-based Japanese restaurant specializing in tonkatsu. The restaurant group also owns popular Korean barbecue restaurant Honey Pig. [PLYWOOD]

4) Midtown:: New to Ansley Mall is Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint, which will open soon, following the shuttering of Boardwalk Burgers & Fries. [PLYWOOD]
