First they had a food truck, then they had an Atlantic Station pop-up, and now Yumbii is bringing the trend of shipping container restaurants to the city. Owner Carson Young plans to put the first such concept in Midtown, at 10th and Peachtree streets, but eventually wants to work his way onto the BeltLine as well.
The Midtown eatery will serve an expanded menu featuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner and hopes to open as soon as possible. Young tells Atlanta Business Chronicle that shipping container restaurants are ideal for places like the BeltLine because they can be implemented in areas not accessible by food trucks or too small for brick-and-mortar spots.
