The Villains are Coming, Opening Announced

New, 1 comment

Hotly anticipated Villains Wicked Heroes has announced that it's opening in April. Replacing midtown's Little Azio, the sandwich spot from owners Jared Lee Pyles and Jason McClure, formerly of HD1 and Flip Burger, and Alex Brounstein of Grindhouse Burgers will serve counter-style lunch and dinner with menu items like the Kingpig of Crime (porchetta, kale, and garlic aioli), Bugsy Siegel (short rib pastrami, braised cabbage, Swiss cheese, and Russian "caviar" dressing on dark rye), Zartan (vegetarian "meatballs," marinara, kale, ricotta, and provolone), and El Guapo (pulled chicken, chorizo, avocado, black bean, radish, and cotija cheese).

Salads ("Wicked Greens") will include the Hail Nero with kale, ramen croutons, and spicy white miso dressing (plus tuna, turkey, or steak). There'll be sides to match: cherry tomato & charred tofu salad, house-made pickles, and Ramen popcorn. And cocktails. Look out for the Prohibited at Turner Field, sugarcane Coke topped with peanut infused bourbon and roasted peanut floaters. The space was designed by Kim Fong of local Studio Song, who used "evil lair meets underground command center" for inspiration.
