Paper Plane, the new bar from Paul Calvert and Victory Sandwich Bar owners Ian Jones and Caleb Wheelus, is set to open this Friday, March 29, in downtown Decatur. The bar will be housed in the same building as the Decatur Victory but with separate entrance through the alley to the right of the restaurant. The two will share a kitchen.

Calvert tells Creative Loafing: "What we want to do at Paper Plane is create an experience, an environment that people can't recreate at home, because really, at the end of the day, that's why you go out." The bar will have cocktails, beer, wine, and a sit-down dinner menu comprised of "American-composed plates."
