Dante's Down the Hatch Plans to Shutter July 30

Here's the latest on Dante's Down the Hatch: The iconic fondue restaurant was originally slated to shutter in March but the real estate closing never happened. Now, though, owner Dante Stephensen has been offered a hard-to-refuse deal. If he signs, Dante's will close July 31.

Stephensen tells Patch that he's looking to relocate the restaurant instead of closing outright and that he hopes to stay in the Buckhead area. The current space on Peachtree Road will be turned into a high-rise apartment complex— presumably, it will not allow crocodiles.
