Slow Food Ice Cream Social; Food Trucks at Monday Night Brewing; Blue Moon's 10th Anniversary

BUCKHEADSlow Food Atlanta's seventh annual ice cream social is this Saturday, June 8, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. It'll be held alongside the Peachtree Road Farmers Market in the garden of St. Philip's Cathedral. Ticket are available for $15 ($5 for children under 10) and include samples of ice cream made by chefs of local restaurants like Ammazza, Seven Lamps, and Miller Union. Chefs Zeb Stevenson and Andrea Litvin are involved in a personal strawberry ice cream battle as well. All proceeds benefit the Atlanta chapter of Slow Food International and the Peachtree Road Farmers Market. [EaterWire]

WEST MIDTOWN Monday Night Brewing's hosting a Foodie Friday event on Friday, June 7. The brewery is normally not open on Fridays but will be hosting Good Food Truck and High Road Craft Creamery from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entrance to the brewery cost $10 and includes six 5-ounce pours of beer and a tour of the space; food is extra.
