Saltyard is now open in Buckhead. The restaurant is housed in the Brookwood building on Peachtree, close to Watershed, and is open for dinner seven days a week. Nick Leahy is the executive chef, and it's owned by Christian Favalli and Kristi Jones-Favalli. Favalli is the son of Atlanta Italian mainstay La Grotta's owner, Sergio Favalli.
The menu is broken into sections like "raw/cured" (ahi tuna carpaccio, raw oysters, ceviche of the day), "biggie smalls" (pan-roasted Georgia trout, Provencal duck confit), and "hot smalls" (ricotta gnocchi, shrooms on toast, grilled octopus). See the full offerings here. Saltyard is still waiting on a liquor license, but will serve wine, craft beer, and cocktails soon. Sunday brunch is also on its way.
Saltyard: 1820 Peachtree Road, Atlanta; (404) 382-8088. Open Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. onward and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
