Now open in its new home in downtown Athens, GA, is Hugh Acheson's fine dining restaurant Five & Ten. It's helmed by executive chef Kyle Jacovino with Mike Sutton as pastry chef and Steven Grubbs, also of Acheson's Atlanta eatery Empire State South, running the wine program. Five & Ten moved down the street from its first location on South Lumpkin Street and opened this Wednesday at 1073 Milledge Avenue in the former Hawthorne House, now an airy space complete with more seating and more parking.
