David Sweeney, who handles the lunch menu at Cakes & Ale and helmed the well-loved and often missed Dynamic Dish is now cooking at Octane Coffee in Grant Park every Sunday through the end of market season. He'll be there starting at 5 p.m. for David Sweeney's Fresh Market Bites until at least the end of September; each Sunday he'll offer three dishes based around ingredients from that week's farmers markets. They'll range in price from $7-$12, and Octane provides drink pairing suggestions for each dish.
Yesterday, Sweeney offered a menu of lamb shish kebab, cous cous tabouleh, and spicy raw mustard green, made from ingredients from Georgia farms like Crack in the Sidewalk, Greenleaf, and Tre Luna. Last week, his menu was Greek-themed.
