As of today, Midtown's Olmsted is a restaurant no more. It's transitioned into a "full-time event facility" and is leaving the power lunches, walk-ins, and other restaurant-y things to adjacent sister eatery Article 14. Olmsted, which opened last September, offers "attractive and flexible corporate and social function space for any occasion;" see the full press release below and do leave your thoughts in the comments.

OLMSTED TRANSITIONS FROM RESTAURANT TO
CONTINUE GROWING SPECIAL EVENT BUSINESS

Article 14 Launches New Menus and Now Offers Weekend
Brunch and Sunday Dinner Service Starting August 17

ATLANTA (August 9, 2013) – With increased demand for weddings, corporate lunches and other private events, Legacy Restaurant Partners® has announced that, as of Monday, August 12, it is transitioning Olmsted from a restaurant to a full-time event facility. Previously, Olmsted was not available for special events during lunch hours. Legacy Restaurant Partners is well-known for its private event spaces in the Luckie Marietta District of Downtown Atlanta. The company also owns the adjacent Article 14 restaurant which has recently updated the lunch and dinner menus. Article 14 will offer weekend brunch and Sunday dinner starting Saturday, August 17.

"We look forward to being able to accommodate more private event requests from our guests in Midtown," said Brian Bullock, managing partner of Legacy Restaurant Partners.
"We're also excited about the new menus, brunch and Sunday dinner at Article 14, where locals gather to enjoy a great meal in an inviting atmosphere."

Article 14's new lunch and dinner menus feature traditional, regional dishes that are made with the finest locally grown ingredients.

"Both menus at Article 14 are full of classic, fresh dishes with clean, bright flavors," said Chris Blobaum, corporate executive chef of Legacy Restaurant Partners. "We made sure to keep Olmsted favorites too, such as our lobster roll, which we make with warm lobster, lemon, chervil, shallots and slaw on a buttered bun."

Located in the heart of Midtown on 14th Street at Peachtree Street, Article 14 is an ideal spot for lunch breaks with friends, small plates and cocktails after events like Music Midtown or a business dinner with colleagues who are in town. The restaurant is also convenient for everyday dining with affordable meal options.

Along with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees and sides, Article 14's guests can find new small plates and daily dinner features ($6-$30). The new menus include options inspired by Blobaum's coast-to-coast American cuisine. Examples of lunch items include an open-faced BLT with beefsteak tomatoes, thick-cut bacon, aioli and arugula and the warm, local peach salad with prosciutto Americano and arugula.

Article 14's dinner guests can sample entrée options like a cowboy rib-eye with potato puree and grilled Vidalia onion rings, steamed clams with SweetWater ale, chorizo and grilled rustic bread or the farmer's market risotto with poached egg and Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Weekend brunch at Article 14 offers Eggs Savannah, Cast Iron Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes with Summer Berry Butter and Maple Syrup, Fried Chicken with Mini Honey Biscuits, Creamed Corn and a Strawberry Smoked Paprika Marmalade and much more! The brunch menu is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
