In Decatur's Bakery at Cakes & Ale, chef David Sweeney will now serve a dinnertime menu of small plates every Wednesday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m. Sweeney is well known for his lunchtime offerings at the bakery, and while he'll still oversee lunch service, his focus will be the execution of the new evening menu. New pastry chef David Garcia will do the pastries, and beverage director Jordan Smelt will handle beer and wine. As of this summer, the Steady Hand Pour House team runs the coffee program.
On Sundays, find Sweeney at the Grant Park Octane Coffee, where he'll be offering a three-dish menu of farmers market-inspired "Fresh Market Bites" starting at 5 p.m. each week.
