Fall is right around the corner, whether you like it or not. With the advent of pumpkin spice lattes, football, and— hopefully— some post-season Waffle House play also comes a slew of brand new restaurants. Here, now, the Eater Atlanta Fall Tracking guide, mapping out the most anticipated spots of the season. Note that these restaurants are in no particular order and that we'll be updating the status as they open this autumn. If you've got another favorite, please do leave it in the comments below.

Kimball House

Location: 201 E. Howard Street, Decatur.
Team: Chefs Phillip Meeker and Jeffery Wall, mixologist Miles Macquarrie, wine director Michael Gallagher
Projected Opening: mid-September
From the team behind Brick Store Pub and Leon's Full Service, Kimball House will open next month in downtown Decatur. The restaurant is sure to have a very strong beverage program, thanks Macquarrie and Gallagher's talent behind the bar, and it'll serve a menu focused on fresh seafood and oysters. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Better Half

Location: 14th and State streets, Atlanta
Team: PushStart Kitchen's Cristina and Zack Meloy
Projected Opening: October
Supper club PushStart Kitchen is going brick and mortar: Their Kickstarted restaurant, Better Half, will open this Fall in Home Park, serving a small, rotating menu based on what's in season and the "chef's whimsy." All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Osteria Mattone

Location: 1095 Canton Street, Roswell
Team: Ryan Pernice, chef Ted Lahey, sommelier Dan Pernice
Projected Opening: November
Highly anticipated from the Table & Main crew, Italian restaurant Osteria Mattone is set to open late this fall in historic downtown Roswell, just five doors down from its Southern sister eatery. Restaurateur Ryan Pernice's brother, Dan, is coming down from New York to run the wine program. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Common Quarter

Location: 1205 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta
Team: Local Three's Chris Hall, Ryan Turner, and Todd Mussman, Chris Talley
Projected Opening: September
The third concept from the Local Three and Muss & Turner's team, Common Quarter will open in East Cobb this Fall. The restaurant will have a large patio, and its menu— which you can preview here— will have coastal influences. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Ink & Elm

Location: 1577 North Decatur Road, Atlanta
Team: Hunter Jefferson, Nick Chaivarlis, Keith Osborne, chef Stephen Sharp
Projected Opening: Late August
Opening in Emory Village late this month, Ink & Elm will serve tavern fare and fine dining food in a space that's separated into three distinct parts: the tavern, which will function as a coffee shop/cafe during the day; the lounge, which will serve a raw bar- heavy menu and champagne cocktails; and the dining room. Check menus here. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Piazza San Gennaro's Limoncello Bar

Location: 1099 Hemphill Avenue, Atlanta
Team: Giovanni Di Palma and company
Projected Opening: September
Thus far in Giovanni Di Palma's Italian-Atlantan empire: Antico Pizza Napoletana, Gio's Chicken Amalfitano, and new gelateria and panini shop Caffe Gio. Coming soon is his limoncello bar, which will offer bellini-limoncello-prosecco cocktail concoctions and antipasti across the street from the already-opened spots. Together, they'll all be called Piazza San Gennaro. All Eater coverage.
Status: Now opening Spring 2014.

Pallookaville

Location: Avondale Estates
Team: The Pallookaville food cart crew
Projected Opening: Early Fall
Food carts going brick and mortar is nothing new, but you can bet that Pallookaville will put a new spin on their stationary outpost, opening this fall in the heart of Avondale Estates. Look for corn dogs, chili bowls, burgers and sandwiches, pies, and a full-service soda fountain. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Sobban

Location: 1788 Clairmont Road, Decatur
Team: Heirloom Market BBQ's Cody Taylor and Jiyeon Lee
Projected Opening: September
This Korean-Southern diner from husband-and-wife team Taylor and Lee will open soon in Decatur, replacing Kitsch'n 155. The restaurant will be hiring soon, and its chef-owners have been playing around with dishes and posting them to Facebook all month. Look for items like Korean kimchi pancakes with Louisiana crab claws and Georgia shrimp, shaved ice, hot tea, and Kal Guk Soo, or knife-cut noodles. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Stem Wine Bar

Location: 1311 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 516, Marietta
Team: Chef Doug Turbush and sommelier Jason Raymond from Seed
Projected Opening: September
Stem, the wine bar without a sign, is opening soon next door to sister restaurant Seed Kichen & Bar. Seed kind of revolutionized the dining scene in East Cobb by offering fine dining food and a great cocktail and wine program outside of the perimeter. Wait times have been long since the restaurant opened, which will hopefully be mitigated by Stem's serving of wine and small plates. All Eater coverage; website.
Status: Now open.

Ration & Dram

Location: 130 Arizona Avenue
Team: Andy Minchow, previously of Holeman & Finch
Projected Opening: September
Replacing Arizona Pub, Andy Minchow's Ration & Dram will serve dinner and weekend brunch as well as beers on tap and all kinds of cocktails. He previewed a tomato-based cocktail at the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Festival and is serving up fare at the Grant Park Farmers Market until his brick-and-mortar opens. All Eater coverage; website.

Bantam Pub

Location: 737 Ralph McGill Boulevard, Atlanta
Team: Kenn Taylor and John Osmond
Projected Opening: September
Eagerly awaited by its Old Fourth Ward neighbors, Bantam Pub will open this Fall in an 800 square-foot space ("bantam" as in small, not as in chicken). The restaurant is hiring and will open soon. Website.
Status: Now open.

Other Fall openings: Zeal in East Cobb, Smoke Ring in Castleberry Hill, the second Salt Factory Pub, and two concepts from Here to Serve Restaurants, American chophouse Smash and oyster bar Shucks, both in Brookhaven.

And this Winter, look for Staplehouse (early 2014), St. Cecilia (early December), the Pig and the Pearl and Diner in Atlantic Station, a West Midtown location of Delia's Chicken Sausage Stand, Krog Street Market projects from chefs like Ford Fry (Superica) and Eli Kirshtein (The Luminary), and more. If there's something you're looking forward to, do leave a comment or send us a note through the tipline.
