Holeman & Finch's Greg Best and Regan Smith are leaving the public house. After five years, the partners/bartenders told their staff on Wednesday that they "are ready to jump into a new project." Atlanta Magazine reports that the departure is amicable with partners Linton Hopkins and his wife, Gina, and that Best and Smith "have largely taken on administrative/managerial positions with Holeman and [are] anxious to get back behind the bar."
Best's last night at Holeman & Finch will be next Saturday, September 7, and Smith's final shift will be Sunday brunch the following day. As for what's next for the two, they've got some business ideas— for a brick-and-mortar, not a pop-up— going, but nothing concrete is known yet. If you've got word, do send us a note through the tipline.
