Details on Anne Quatrano's First Cookbook, Summerland, Coming Out October 1

Anne Quatrano's cookbook Summerland: Recipes for Celebrating with Southern Hospitality will be available for purchase on October 1. The first book from the owner of Star Provisions, Abattoir, Floataway Cafe, and Bacchanalia will "make each month's harvest a reason to celebrate, in the relaxed yet refined style of the South." It's published by Rizzoli, and early copies have already been spotted out in the wild.

Summerland is named after Quatrano's family farm and features more than 100 of her recipes and entertaining ideas along with stories of Summerland Farm. Sample recipes include savory dishes such as roasted quail with mushrooms for an outdoor fall lunch; porchetta, fresh pea, and fennel salad at an Easter egg hunt; lobster brioche rolls for a tea party; and truffled broccoli soup during the holiday season. There are also desserts like stump de Noel and "white and white" cookies as well as beverages including watermelon sangria, mint juleps, and sweet tea cocktails. Read more on Summerland below.

Flyers for the book are out at Star Provisions on Howell Mill Road. Here's what they say:
