Asha Gomez will open new concept Spice to Table this November in Studioplex. The Old Fourth Ward restaurant will serve "globally inspired cuisine" and will include a retail market stocked with spices, bottled sauces, and more. Gomez, who also owns fine dining Indian concept Cardamom Hill, has been hinting at the opening for some time on Instagram; Spice to Table will offer breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Sunday with menu items like pork vindaloo sliders, open-faced samosas, and lentil soup.

CHEF ASHA GOMEZ SET TO OPEN NEWEST CONCEPT, SPICE TO TABLE AT STUDIOPLEX
Globally Inspired Breakfast & Lunch Spot Featuring Onsite Market Arrives Later This Fall

ATLANTA: Spice to Table, a new dining concept by Chef Asha Gomez of Cardamom Hill and The Third Space, features globally inspired cuisine, as well as an open market filled with retail for purchase including spices, sweets, bottled sauces, preserves and much more. The restaurant is located in Atlanta's Old Fourth Ward Studioplex development off Auburn Avenue across from the Irwin Street Market. Spice to Table will be open for breakfast and lunch daily excluding Mondays. It is set to open its doors in November.

Chef Gomez elaborates on her new concept stating, "I've always wanted to open a fast-casual breakfast/lunch spot that explores other parts of my global food influences. I grew up in Kerala but I also lived in other parts of India like Gujarat and Bombay before living in areas of New York, and now I find myself calling the American South home. The menu will feature traditional items from all of my favorite food memories but with a few twists."

Spice to Table's inviting menu will offer an array of signature dishes including appam muffins, open faced samosas, Indian inspired frittatas, pork vindaloo sliders, railroad beef hoagies, green masala chicken, Bhel puri inspired salads, spicy lentil soup (sambar), buttermilk and lentil ball soup (Khadi), sweet and savory crostata to name a few items on the upcoming menu. Asha will also carry a full line of teas, chai and coffee as well as signature Spice to Table sweets, pastries, scones and cookies that will be available for dine in or take away.

With its décor inspired by French influences in Southern India found in Pondicherry and Mahe in Kerala, this daytime destination and retail market welcomes guests for a delicious meal served at one of the communal tables inside the restaurant or outdoors in the open space of the market where bistro tables will line the sidewalk.

"My goal is to make this a neighborhood meeting place – one where you can grab a pastry tray, some coffee, log onto WIFI and hang out or you can come in for a delicious snack or full meal at breakfast or lunch. Spice to Table is another part of my continuing evolution and journey as a chef and restaurateur."
