Guy Wong's Big Boss Chinese Renovation Should Begin Soon

Wong is taking authentic Cantonese cuisine to Decatur.

1) Decatur: It looks like Guy Wong is finally close to starting renovations on the space that will be home to Big Boss Chineseaccording to Decatur Metro. The former book bindery at 312 Church Street was being used by the City of Decatur, but Wong is now in possession of the keys. Pushed back since 2013, Wong hopes to open the restaurant sometime next year.

2) Peachtree Hills: Peachtree Hills Village is getting a new juice bar, per What Now Atlanta. In the 1,200-square-foot-space, Veda Juice says it will serve "100 percent cold-pressed juice, organic and locally sourced whenever available."

3) Virginia-Highland: Restaurateur Mims Bledsoe is moving ahead with plans to open The Pie Shop 1037 N. Highland Avenue, according to WNA. Bledsoe attempted to raise funds for the dessert purveyor's second location — the original is in Buckhead — but the $35,000 Kickstarter campaign brought in just $12,351.

4) Midtown: A forthcoming Eastern Mediterranean concept at 903 Peachtree Street is already undergoing a name change. What was to be called Bazaria will now be known as BezoriaWNA reports that the change results from a lawsuit filed by a Las Vegas-based company called Bazaria.
