Second Self Beer Company, the newest player in Atlanta's craft beer game, will open its doors to the public on Saturday, November 1. The brewery is located in Westside at 1311 Logan Circle NW.

Beer architect Jason Santamaria and alechemist Chris Doyle founded Second Self Beer Company in 2010, and their brews began showing up at local bars and restaurants on September 30. On its official website, the brewery says, "We've worked to make sure our product is not only excellent to drink but is easily paired with food, making it a perfect choice for any occasion. We draw inspiration for our recipes from our experiences and surroundings."

Second Self is currently brewing:

  • Thai Wheat, a spicy American wheat beer with lemongrass and ginger.
  • Red Hop Rye, an American red rye IPA.
  • LIPA, a light-bodied IPA.
  • Saison, a traditional brew using American ingredients.

When it opens, the brewery will feature a tasting room and host regular tours.
