Smoothie and sandwich purveyor LottaFrutta is planning an Alpharetta outpost in the Avalon mixed-use development. Mark Toro, the property's developer, announced the news via Instagram Sunday (HT: What Now Atlanta).
The new LottaFrutta is shooting for a Spring 2015 opening and will join the original location in Old Fourth Ward and the stand in Concourse B at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The "gourmet fruit house and market" offers a menu of fruit cups, smoothies, coffee, Mexican hot chocolate, grilled sandwiches, and salads.
LottaFrutta first opened on the corner of Auburn Avenue and Randolph Street in 2006, and the airport location followed in 2013.
Avalon is set for a grand opening this Thursday. Several new restaurants, including Ford Fry's "Mex-Tex" concept The El Felix and Oak Steakhouse, a second location for the Charleston concept, will begin serving on or shortly after the launch date.
