After targeting an opening date early this month, Thirteen Pies has settled on Tuesday, October 7. The pizzeria is in the Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use development, down the street from Shake Shack.

Executive chef Brandon Wolff is in charge of the kitchen, and he'll turn out a menu that features wood-fired pizzas from two limestone-encased ovens, house-made pastas, salads, small plates, and desserts. Wolf is a Texas native who has cooked at several top-tier restaurants around the country, and has twice worked in the kitchen at New York's James Beard House. Behind the bar, look for seasonal cocktails and more than 30 wines.

The pizza offerings include 12 regular selections and a special, rotating "13th pie," hence the restaurant's name.

The space itself features marble countertops, blue limestone flooring, and long-leaf pine walls. Seating will be available for 123, including 21 at the bar.

Thirteen Pies will be open seven days a week. Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Check out an example of the menu below.
