Brent Banda is on board as the executive chef at Midtown seafood restaurant Lure. Banda is replacing David Bradley, who left over the summer to take a job as chef and nutrition director for the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School.
Banda most recently served as executive chef at Virginia-Highland's La Tavola Trattoria, Lure's sister Italian concept under the Fifth Group Restaurants umbrella. He's worked for Fifth Group since 2004, starting as a sous chef at Food Studio (now Studio 88). After studying culinary arts at the Art Institute of Atlanta, Banda staged at Maialino, Esca, and Hearth in New York City.
Replacing Banda at La Tavola is Justin Jordan, formerly a sous chef at Lure and Ecco, Fifth Group's Mediterranean concept in Midtown.
