Christopher Grossman is on board as chef de cuisine at Atlas, the restaurant coming to Buckhead's St. Regis Hotel. From Aria chef/owner Gerry Klaskala, Atlas replaces Pacess 88 at the hotel and is targeting a January opening.
Grossman previously served as chef de cuisine under Klaskala at Aria before moving to Thomas Keller's highly acclaimed The French Laundry in Napa Valley. The Atlas menu will feature seasonal cuisine "accented with gracious Southern hospitality."
"We are very excited to welcome Christopher to our team," Klaskala said in a prepared statement. "I am confident that his unrivaled culinary skills, coupled with a fresh approach to traditional dishes will establish Atlas as one of the premier destination restaurants in the South."
The Johnson Studio is behind the design, creating an ambiance that "feels like a private club." Atlas will be located on the hotel's second floor and feature two lounge areas, an outdoor terraced garden, and an open kitchen.
