The El Felix, Ford Fry's first venture into the suburbs and first Tex-Mex concept, opened earlier this month in Alpharetta's Avalon mixed-use development. The menu combines classics of the genre with a little high-end touch, featuring "platos supericas" such as an assortment of fajitas, braised short rib, basted red snapper, and a garlic butter-basted lobster.
The El Felix, located at 1130 Avalon Place, is open daily for lunch and dinner. Weekday hours are 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (11 p.m. on Friday). The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Scope the interiors via the above gallery.
