What Happened on Day One at Krog Street Market?

New, 1 comment

The Inman Park development is finally open.

After months of anticipation, Krog Street Market officially opened to the public Monday morning. There were a few hitches and not every vendor was ready to go, but hungry Atlantans showed up to check out the new food hall. A few notes from the first day of action:

  • Little Tart Bakeshop led the way, kicking off service with its French-inspired pastries at 10 a.m.
  • As the only true lunch vendor open, Fred's Meat & Bread saw a good crowd for the midday meal. The sandwiches and burgers from The General Muir team ran out around 2:30 p.m.
  • To celebrate the grand opening, Jeni's Ice Creams was serving up free scoops all day.
  • Yalla, Middle Eastern fare from The General Muir folks, waited until 5:30 p.m. to open and had a long line for much of the night. Like Fred's at lunch, it was the only real dinner option available.

More food stalls and restaurants are opening soon, including Grand Champion BBQ, which should launch today. Take a look inside Krog Street Market with the gallery above.
