Philip Meeker Is Out as Co-Executive Chef at Kimball House

Philip Meeker, who had served as co-executive chef at Kimball House since the restaurant opened in September 2013, is no longer with the Decatur favorite. Meeker confirmed the news in an email to Eater Atlanta Tuesday afternoon.

"I've enjoyed being part of Kimball House's first year and helping to assemble an incredible culinary team there," Meeker said. "I've learned so much and had the opportunity to work with my best friend and some of the most talented restaurateurs in Atlanta. I wish them nothing but the best and am excited to see what the next year has in store for them. I'm looking forward to spending some time with family and pursuing a few other projects that I've been working on."

Meeker declined to share details on his future plans.

Jeffery Wall, who was serving as co-executive chef with Meeker, is now running the kitchen by himself. "We will be moving forward with Jeffrey Wall as the executive chef of Kimball House," co-owner Miles Macquarrie said in an email.
