ALPHARETTA — Marlow's Tavern, which has been expanding in the Atlanta area since first opening in 2004, will begin serving at its Avalon location on Tuesday, November 11. A bonus for the new outpost: to-go cups will be available to carry around the new mixed-used development. Located at 3900 1st Street, Marlow's Avalon will be open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. [EaterWire]

PONCEY-HIGHLAND — Sweet Auburn Barbecue is hosting Dine Out for Kids in support of GA Gives Day and National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. On Tuesday, November 11, between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., a portion of proceeds at the North Highland restaurant will go to StandUp for Kids, a non-profit with the goal of ending the cycle of youth homelessness in Atlanta.
