Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi, from One Sushi + owner Mali Hu, will officially open on Monday, November 17. The Buckhead restaurant is still waiting on a liquor license, but is soft opening in the meantime.
As the name might suggest, Katana is half teppanyaki, half sushi bar. Fresh seafood will be imported weekly from Japan for the sushi and sashimi menus. Hot and cold starters and main entrees are available as well. Starters include braised pork belly buns, yellowtail carpaccio, Kanpachi, and cucmber pops, and main dishes feature options such as green tea salmon and a combination of miso duck breast, crispy duck legs, and duck fried rice.
Ten grills will be available in the teppanyaki area, with seating available for 10 people at each grill. Katana is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
