With restaurants in Midtown and Vinings, South City Kitchen may be soon entering the Buckhead market. Fifth Group Restaurants, the Southern eatery's parent company, has submitted plans for a new location at Capital City Plaza on Peachtree Road, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Fifth Group hasn't signed a lease, but reportedly plans to by the end of the year. The restaurant will bring significant renovations to the 6,000-square-foot space:
According to renderings submitted to planners, the restaurant would dramatically change the front door of the high-rise, adding many glass windows to the dining room and patio seating along the sidewalk.
South City Kitchen originally opened on Crescent Avenue in Midtown in 1993, and the Vinings location followed in 2006. Fifth Group also operates Ecco, Lure, Alma Cocina, La Tavola, and The Original El Taco.
