OK Cafe Donations; Extended Gunshow Hours; 'Atlanta Chef's Table'

BUCKHEAD — On Tuesday, December 16, dine at Portofino to help the employees of OK Cafe, which is currently closed because of a recent fire. Fifteen percent of sales from the evening will be donated to the OK Cafe Employees' Christmas Fund. [EaterWire]

GLENWOOD PARK — To keep diners fed this holiday season, Gunshow is extending its hours. Normally closed on Sunday and Monday nights, the restaurant will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night from Friday, December 26, through Tuesday, December 30. [EaterWire]

BUCKHEAD — To celebrate the release of Kate Parham Kordsmeier's Atlanta Chef's Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the Big Peach, several local chefs are getting together at Umi for a special dinner. The family-style meal begins at 6 p.m. on January 18, and features dishes from Fuyuhiko and Lisa Ito, Ford Fry, Kevin Gillespie, Steven Satterfield, and Todd Ginsberg, among others.
