Harbour House Pub, which has been serving seafood for three and a half years in Decatur, closed for good at the end of service on Sunday. Owner Sean Kennan announced the news in a Facebook post, saying he has recently taken on new opportunities.

We want to say thank you DECATUR! With lots of mixed emotions, today will be the last day Harbour House will be open. As much as we love the restaurant and our guests, new opportunities have come up and I have to make the right adjustments and sensible decisions to manage time and resources that are healthy for my family and me. If you've enjoyed Harbour and have some time please join us for a final day of joy and celebration. We will be open for brunch and dinner. I want to thank all our wonderful guests that have supported Harbour so generously over the past three and a half years! I sincerely appreciate you!!!

Harbour House Pub originally opened as Harbour Bar & Fish House before revamping the menu earlier this year. To compliment the restaurant's New England coastal cuisine, chef Christian Speigal added items such as locally sourced meats, house-smoked pastrami, a house-ground Brasstown Beef burger, and "London-style pub fare."

Harbour House made its home in a century-old cottage at 129 Church Street.
