The Southern Gentleman, which shares a kitchen with sister restaurant Gypsy Kitchen, opens for dinner tonight in the Buckhead Atlanta mixed-use development. From executive chef Randy Lewis, the gastropub will specialize in Southern-inspired cuisine and beverages.
"We want this to feel like stepping into our home," co-owner Chris Hadermann says on the official website. "If a friend were visiting Atlanta from New York, we want The Southern Gentleman to feel like the warm, welcoming place you'd want to take them to experience what it means to live the Southern lifestyle-a respect for the familiar traditions, that sophisticated yet unpretentious elegance, but also with a modern edge that makes it exciting and fresh. This is our take on proper Southern hospitality."
In addition to sharing workspace with Gypsy Kitchen, the restaurant also shares Lewis as executive chef and his staff. It's the latest venture from the group behind The Big Ketch and Smokebelly BBQ.
Located at 3035 Peachtree Street, The Southern Gentleman is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with bar service continuing later Thursday through Saturday. Reservations are now being accepted online. Take a look at the updated menu below.
