Michel Arnette, owner of two local restaurants and formerly of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, is working on a new venture in Chamblee, per Tomorrow's News Today. Arnette currently operates Valenza and Haven in Brookhaven, and his forthcoming restaurant will move into the former Brown Auto Service space on Peachtree Road.
According to Arnette, the restaurant will be "upscale casual" and will likely feature classic favorites like burgers, fries and malts. Arnette said he plans to harken back to the days of the "classic American restaurant" with elements of a traditional diner as well. Arnette told me the prices will be moderate with likely nothing priced more than twenty bucks.
Arnette tells TNT the current timeline for opening is sometime in the second or third quarter of 2015. While converting the location into a restaurant, he will keep the structure's style and appearance.
Valenza offers northern Italian cuisine, with a menu featuring antipasti, pasta, risotto, and more. Haven, located next door on Dresden Drive, serves seasonal American fare.
