Two Westside Bars Go Dry; Adios to Caramba Cafe

A couple of local watering holes and a Mexican restaurant are closing.

1) Westside: In the District at Howell Mill, Central City Tavern has closed its doors, per Tomorrow's News Today. The bar relocated to its final location in 2009 after years of business in Buckhead, and struggles nearly led to a releaunch as an Italian concept in 2010.

Another Westside watering hole, nearby Stooge's Sports Bar & Grill in Howell Mill Village, has also shuttered.

2) Sweet Auburn: After nearly five years of service in the Pencil Factory Lofts development, Caramba Cafe will close at the end of the year, reports TNT. The Mexican restaurant enjoyed success in Morningside for two decades, but hasn't been able to keep momentum since relocating to its Decatur Street location in 2010.
