Varuni Napoli, the Morningside pizzeria from Antico alum Luca Varuni, is adding a retail market to the concept. Luca's Market is up and running and offers a variety of ingredients.
"I want to share my passion for making pizza and my love for true, authentic products with my adopted city of Atlanta," Napoli said in a release. The Market is an opportunity for my guests to purchase the same ingredients I use at the restaurant. The Market is just another piece to the Varuni Napoli puzzle, giving Atlanta more insight into what it means to be Italian."
Luca's Market sells ingredients used in dishes at the restaurant. Look for meats, cheeses, San Marzano tomatoes, olive oils, and pickled items from the glass cases, plus select desserts and gelato from the coolers. Prepared dishes such as eggplant parmesan, stuffed peppers, and meatballs are available as well.
Hours are a bit tricky, so pay attention. Consumers can purchase goods from the market directly and online Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday online only from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and online only from 6 p.m. to close. Ordering is available online for pickup in the restaurant Tuesday through Sunday until 9 p.m.
