In the Decatur space that previously housed Native and Garlic Thai Spice, Dos Madres Cantina is now open for business. The restaurant began serving lunch last Monday, and dinner service starts tonight.
On the menu, look for an assortment of fajitas, tacos, and "house specialties," such as carnitas tostada and carne asada. There are also soups, salads, and a list of appetizers that includes nachos, quesadillas, and ceviche. Atlanta native and Le Cordon Bleu graduate Jorge Yzaguirre is running the kitchen as head chef.
Dos Madres Cantina is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is located at 340 West Ponce de Leon Avenue.
