Local empire builder Ford Fry hopes to launch his latest venture this winter. Fry is aiming to open Superica, his forthcoming Krog Street Market restaurant, in the first half of February. The concept follows The El Felix, which recently opened in Alpharetta's Avalon development.
There's no official menu yet, but Superica's kitchen, led by chef Kevin Maxey, will serve up Tex-Mex cuisine similar to The El Felix, and breakfast service will be available on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the eats, look for live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and during the afternoon on Saturday and Sunday.
Fry is also working on an unnamed sister restaurant for his seafood concept, The Optimist, which is coming to the Inman Quarter development. Details for that restaurant, and a projected timeline for opening, are scarce at the moment.
Aside from The El Felix, Superica, and his Inman Quarter project, Fry's restaurant group operates JCT. Kitchen & Bar (Westside), King + Duke (Buckhead), No. 246 (Decatur), St. Cecilia (Buckhead), and The Optimist (Westside).
