Chef/television personality Andrew Zimmern has been in town, ostensibly filming for his Travel Channel show Bizarre Foods. So far he's definitely been to Korean-Southern diner Sobban, Highland Bakery (where decorator Karen Portaleo made him a cake), late-night spot Octopus Bar with Hugh Acheson and friends, and Decimal Place Farm. He has plans to head to Sobban's sister barbecue restaurant in Smyrna, Heirloom Market BBQ, tomorrow as well as possibly Bad Dog Taqueria in Emory Village this afternoon (update: Adam Richman is the one who filmed at Bad Dog).
Here's Karen Portaleo of Highland Bakery making her "Revenge of the Edibles" cake for Zimmern:
Update: A tipster writes in to say that Zimmern has also been spotted at Buford Highway Farmers Market.
Update: And The General Muir, Woodfire Grill, Heirloom Market BBQ, Restaurant Eugene, and Holeman & Finch.
Got suggestions for the chef or know where else he's been? Do leave a comment or send a note through the Eater Atlanta tipline.
