Sweet Auburn Barbecue's Poncey-Highlands spot gets a first look from Zagat, where Howard Hsu expands the offerings of his Sweet Auburn Curb Market outpost and food truck at this first full-service location. Vacant since Pura Vida's departure a year ago, the space receives a revamp, giving it a "nouveau-rustic vibe." On the menu, expect "Asian-inspired Southern cuisine and fusion barbecue." Also of note is the cocktail selection with Reuben Victor, formerly of Holeman & Finch, behind the bar.
Creative Loafing lauds Ford Fry's newest concept St. Cecilia as another success that draws inspiration from his growing list of Atlanta establishments: "St. Cecilia's cuisine combines the Italian finesse of No. 246, The Optimist's seafood savvy, King + Duke's comfortable Buckhead opulence, and the cocktail-fueled bar scene of...all of the above." The pasta dishes, seafood crudos, and Lara Creasy's cocktail program get high marks, but the dessert selection leaves something to be desired at this "Buckhead-ready ode to looking good and eating well."
