Creative Loafing takes a first look at Ration & Dram, the new family-friendly neighborhood spot from Holeman & Finch alum Andy Minchow. There is praise for the cocktails— unsurprising given Minchow's background at the mothership of Atlanta's craft cocktail culture— and the food is "simple and satisfying," including a kid-appropriate section of the menu. In sum, "This is a neighborhood restaurant, tucked in loft-filled line between Edgewood and Kirkwood, that happens to have a serious beverage program."
Behind the Atlanta-Journal Constitution paywall, Jenny Turknett reviews Better Half, the supper-club-turned-restaurant from husband and wife team Zach Meloy and Cristina Meloy, granting it three stars. She lauds Better Half as part of a recent trend, of restaurants "serving fine-dining-quality fare" with "a more laid-back approach." Of particular note on the oft-changing menu are items like the strawberry gazpacho and the seared yellowfin tuna.
