Alchemy at The Pinewood; New South Family Supper

CARTERSVILLE— Husband and wife team Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison are hosting this Sunday, April 6 the second annual New South Family Supper, a "communal meal honor[ing] Southern cuisine and its future preservation" at their Summerland Farms home. A laundry list of Atlanta chefs and bartenders will be on hand to showcase their work, including Ford Fry, Steven Satterfield, and Kevin Gillespie. DECATURThe Pinewood Tippling Room continues its Alchemy classes this Saturday, covering all the basics of making great drinks. CHEF SUMMIT— The first Minority Chef Summit is planned for May 1 through May 4 in Nassau, Bahamas. Joining chefs from around the country, Atlantans Asha Gomez of Caradamom Hill, Guy Wong of Miso Izakaya, and from One Flew South, chef Duane Nutter and bartenders Tiffanie Barriere and Tokiwa Sears will participate in panels, demonstrations, and other events throughout the weekend.
