A man who opened fire on an off-duty police officer early Sunday morning inside a Decatur Waffle House remains on the run. From the AJC, "The officer returned fire and is believed to have wounded the man who ran from the restaurant." Though the WaHo closed temporarily following the incident, it reopened soon after. [AJC]
